Veterans Organizations Voice Concerns Over National Health Care Proposal
WASHINGTON, DC — Six major veterans’ organizations with members in South Carolina, including AMVETS, Blinded Veterans Association, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Jewish War Veterans of the USA, and Vietnam Veterans of America, wrote to Speaker Pelosi over the “grave concerns” within the Democrats’ version of the national health care reform plan. Additionally, the American Legion wrote a letter to Rep. Henry Waxman , chief author of the Democratic health care bill, that it “is deeply concerned with veterans’ related issues” in the Democrats’ proposal. Full Story » July 28, 2009
Brown Applauds Passage of Bill Benefiting South Carolina Sea Turtles
